I have been working for phone-com since the beginning as their Marketing Manager. My role involves overseeing all the orders received each day, monitoring support and managing advertising. I joined phone-com from a background of marketing in various industries including publishing & educational software after studying English at university. My favorite thing about working here is the daily interaction with customers, advertisers, and phone-com’s support team.

Can you please share with our visitors how phone-com started?

phone-com was the first company to launch under our own brand name. With all company directors having previous experience in the Telecommunication industry, it seemed an obvious addition to the group. We wanted to learn from our experience and mistakes and try to offer a high quality service we all believed in.

From your experience, what is the most important thing to look for when choosing a VoIP service provider and why?

It wasn’t long ago, VoIP providers would change their bandwidth and features almost daily in the bid to win customers for their competitors. So with all the major VoIP providers now offering unlimited resources I think this blank canvas is going to make VoIP users choose their VoIP provider based on what really matters like uptime, service and quality of support.

How about VoIP security, what is phone-com doing about it?

We take server security very seriously. We have strong encryption installed on all servers which is a web application firewall. This allows us to prevent VoIP hacking via security holes in SIP protocols. We also use APF server firewall which prevents server hacking via open ports. It keeps open the necessary ports only: Panel, HTTP, MAIL, FTP and SSH services. Also we have SPAM activity monitoring for all your voice mail and have shared SSL installed on all servers. Sorry gone a little geeky.

You mentioned phone-comt's "Anytime" money back, is this really true?

Yes! We as we are so confident that we will supply our customers with outstanding uptime, speed and support that we offer them an anytime money back guarantee. If we cannot deliver our VoIP services to the level the customer deserves, and they want to switch providers we feel it’s within their rights to request a refund at anytime.

What made you choose SIP VoIP over others as the protocol offered in your plan?

SIP is very user friendly, and as it is now the VoIP carrier of choice for so many hosts, we wanted to give the majority of our customers a service which they can rely on. SIP also support many valuded added features for signalling which means we can offer more features without intruppting voice conversation.

Where do you see phone-com in five years from now?

I see us expanding our VoIP services by offering various plans under the phone-com Brand, and ensuring we are one of the largest and reliable VoIP service provider companies in the world.
